2019 has been an eventful year for Osmotex. About one year ago, the first jacket ever with active moisture management was launched. The revolutionary Kjus 7SPHERE HYDRO_BOT jacket got immense media attention, received the ISPO Gold Award, and kept many skiers dry and warm.

Since the launch of our first product, we have partnered two additional brands, and have ten folds in the pipeline. IXS offers high quality protective clothing for motorcycle and bicycle wear. At EICMA in November 2019, the iXS MONTEVIDEO HYDRO_BOT JACKET 2021 was launched; the first motorcycle jacket in the world to deliver perfect moisture management at the touch of a button. Hatex is a Swiss workwear company and a leading outfitter to the Swiss construction industry and will soon offer a jacket with integrated HYDRO_BOT technology. With Hatex’ innovative products and thinking, their clever and intelligent solutions and tailored solutions for any need, we are proud to work with them to develop the next generation workwear jacket.

Not only have we established new partnerships with brands, but also three new production partners in addition to Schoeller Textile: Myant Inc. (Canada), WidePlus International Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) and Topa Konfektions AG.

Myant is the world leader in textile computing with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, data scientists, fashion designers and knitting specialists, and over 80,000 ft² of manufacturing capacity allowing sensors, actuators and other features to be strategically embedded in textiles such as clothes, bed sheets, flooring, and car interiors.“The creation of this joint venture between Myant and Osmotex reinforces our mission to develop textiles as bidirectional interfaces to the human body capable of optimizing health and performance across all spheres of life,” said Tony Chahine, founder and CEO of Myant.

HYDRO_BOT will be presented on the Myant platform at CES in Las Vegas on the 7th to the 10th of January 2020.

WidePlus is a family owned Taiwanese manufacture with a vertical facility focusing on performance and functional fabrics, with a global sourcing platform. Providing high quality production including warping, weaving and dying and with a production capacity of 4 million yards per month, WidePlus implements HYDRO_BOT as a product cornerstone when focusing on the potentials within e-textiles.

Topa is a highly valued development partner of Osmotex located in Widnau, Switzerland, with leading expertise in garment confectioning and special productions. Bringing wide expertise and multifaceted network, we are very pleased to develop the cooperation with Topa to a production partnership.

Internally there has also been exciting changes. Rolf Schmid, former CEO of Mammut, has joined the advisory board. “Having Mr. Schmid as an Advisory Member of the Board, gives enormous advantages to Osmotex as a company. With his broad experience in multiple fields, as well as niche expertise in key areas like textile innovation, outdoor and active wear, and business development, I am thrilled to have him as part of the team”, said Joacim Holter, Chairman and Managing Director, Osmotex AG.

Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all of our stakeholders. Now we are ready for a sensational 2020!
